“Iceland has frequent volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. The Reykjanes peninsula in southwest Iceland has had many volcanic eruptions, the latest on August 22,” the FCDO stated. “These impacted Grindavik and its surroundings. Icelandic officials warn against visiting this location. All routes to Grindavik and nearby are blocked.”
